1939: The famous Birdman Jones of Burnaby with his birds and family. Mr. Jones had an uncanny relationship with local birds which did not fear either him or his family. Many amateur film buffs took their cameras to his backyard to watch him feeding birds from his mouth and letting them perch up and down his arms. Views of Jericho Beach Golf, Patullo bridge, Kamloops, the South Thompson and the North Thompson River, wild sheep, the Seven Sisters and lake near Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake near Field. Footage of Theodore Phipps and T.G.S. Chambers. ~July and August 1939: Footage of: Sir Theodor Chambers KBE; Emerald Lake; the CPR coming up from Field drawn by Hudson locomotive; views of Kicking Horse Falls, Mount MacDonald, looking down onto Field; views of Silver Falls, near Winnipeg. T.G.S. Chambers fishing perch, pickeral and catfish; LaVerendrye monument; Fort Garry Gate, Winnipeg; a tame chipmunk; a golf course outside Winnipeg; the Royal Train arriving, King George and Queen Elizabeth; and the train leaving Winnipeg at 20mph into the sunset.~1940: Drumhead service in Toronto and the parade of different regiments including the dog mascot of the Seaforth Highlanders, and the marchpast of the British Columbia Highlanders from Kelowna. Footage of the Cenotaph in Ottawa, the Chateau Laurier, the Parliament Buildings, and the Post office. Views of Windsor Ontario, the Gateway to Pelle National Park and Pelle Point (the most southerly in Canada). Views of Detroit from across river, Niagara Falls, and the new bridge over the Niagara River. Shots of the McDonald Hotel in Edmonton and of trip returning west through Rockies with the Fraser River and the railway bridge.
