Pre-World War I street scenes with pedestrians, flivvers, horse-drawn street cars, etc. A newsboy sells papers as a policeman strolls by. Shots of a room full of seamstresses at work and women punching in. Shots of Fifth Avenue around Easter - top hat de rigeur. Men are shown moving past a cordon of police as they enter a subway station. Women and two men in turn-of-the-century dress are seen in a lobby. Shots of a tennis match with close-ups of the racquets, a woman in a long white dress and a man in knickers. Fashionable women are shown strolling past the camera.~The following people are seen: Sarah Bernhardt in a carriage; John Bunny; A.G. Bell; Teddy Roosevelt and his Roughriders parading and posing; Mme Marie Curie; T.A. Edison; and Governor elect Woodrow Wilson.~Four cameramen stand in line checking their cameras. Street scenes in Chigaco in the gay 90s and in San Francisco as seen from the the front of a street car. Firemen come out of a station in their horse-drawn fire engines. Bathing beauties are seen posing and parading. Shots of before and after coiffures from the late 1890s and a woman modelling a decoletée evening gown. Shots of a man and woman dancing. A tightrope artisit puts on a demonstration, followed by a performance by a scantily clad woman with exhibition decor in the background. A final sequence on an early car, perhaps a 1905 Buick, being cranked and driving away.
