The Harringtons relate several humorous stories of Taddy Hagerty, a champion wit renowned in the Valley. Also heard are stories of Father Hogan, Sophie O'Hare, the "strong woman" of the Opeongo Line, Barney Malone, who at age 70 married a 19-year-old girl and fathered six children, Joe [Shirley] and other characters of the Valley. The history of the Opeongo Line, an historic pioneer route in the Valley, the towns of Brudenell, Rockingham, Mount St. Patrick, and other towns, and the genealogy of some early families in the Valley are discussed throughout the interview.Language:EnglishDetailed holdings information: -
