A doctor spots a young lady in distress in a garden and administers some degree of aid. He puts her to bed, and repenting for his evil thoughts, visits the grave of his late, departed spouse. A party is held at the sick ladies home and her husband and a driver, while speeding along a rural road, have to serve sharply and her husband is thrown out of the car. He is taken to the house, where the party continues, unconscious and a doctor is called. It is the same doctor who earlier treated his wife and he considers letting the husband die. However, after a series of wild gestulations outside he reenters the house, treats the man, and leaves. The doctor is seen in his office where the bandaged husband visits. The doctor takes the man to the doctor's wife's grave where the husband throws himself onto the ground and the doctor cries.
