The Vienna meetings led to the signing of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (the CFE Treaty) in Paris on November 19, 1990. The CFE Treaty was signed by members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Warsaw Pact countries and formally marked the end of the Cold War.
