Fonds consists of family portraits, family photos, and snapshots. Also included in fonds is philatelic material including World War I era postally-used covers bearing Opened by Censor labels, patriotic slogan die cancels, military postal markings, and Canadian War Tax stamps sent from Walter Scott, Canadian Expeditionary Force, to Miss Lizzie Scott, Simpson, Saskatchewan. Some covers bear the "Canada-Y.M.C.A." corner card imprint. Textual material is comprised of letters, 1917-1918, and notes, 1928-1945, written by Walter Scott of the Canadian Expeditionary Force to his sister Lizzie. The letters deal with general family topics and only discuss the war when Walter Scott is wounded.
