England, A. J., b. 1888 : Prior to World War II, A.J. England, investment analyst, was involved in an attempt to arrange British bond financing, for a projected iron and steel industry in British Columbia. During the war, he was employed by the British Government as a civilian technical intelligence officer, and from March to November 1945, he visited Germany with the British Bombing Research Mission.
