Fonds consists of a letter from John A. McDougal dated at Dawson City, Yukon, 10 September 1899. Photocopy, 14 pages. McDougal provides a vivid description of his trip to Dawson and extensive comments on life in that city in 1899. Photocopy, 14 pages.

Stewart, W.C.E., 1864-1946 : Public servant

W.C.E. Stewart was born in Ottawa on 13 July 1864. He joined the Savings Bank Branch of the Post Office Department in 1881, and by 1913 had risen to the rank of Chief Clerk. Upon his retirement from the Post Office, after more than 35 years of service Mr. Stewart travelled extensively abroad. When not travelling, he made his home at Meach Lake in the Gatineau Hills of Québec. In his later years he spent his winters in San Francisco. He died at Meach Lake in 1946.
