Collection consists of miscellaneous records relating to the personal life and professional career of the poet and archivist Wilfred Campbell. Included are United Empire Loyalist documents, 1775-1835; miscellaneous memoranda including descriptions of various archival collections, 1909; property deeds of sale, 1917-1919; and correspondence and other material, 1909-1910.

Collection consists of a Canadian Souvenir Cards postcard, a portrait of Joseph Bouchette by Emgleheart; a portrait of George Simpson; a portrait of Isaac Brock; and a work entitled His Majesty's Field Battery, [ca. 1800]-1909.

Collection contains a photographs of a group of men and four sled dog teams; an unidentified war memorial, [ca. 1895]; two army officers on horses in an unidentified military camp, [ca. 1900].

Collection contains an architectural drawing related to the Royal Commission Quebec Bridge Enquiry, 1908.

Campbell, Wilfred, 1858-1918 : Wilfred Campbell was born in Berlin, Ontario. He attended the University of Toronto and the Episcopal Theological College at Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was ordained in the Church of England. He served as rector in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, but resigned in 1890 to join the staff of the Public Archives of Canada where he remained until his death. Campbell contributed to the Toronto "Globe" column "At the Mermaid Inn", 1892-1893, and published poetry and prose. In his later years wrote political works promoting his concept of a "Vaster Britain", and was the editor of the first "Oxford Book of Canadian Verse" (1913).
