McCutcheon, Malcolm Wallace, 1906-1969 : Malcolm Wallace McCutcheon, born in 1906 at London, Ont., received his education from the University of Toronto, B.A. 1926, and Osgoode Hall. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1930, practised law with Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt of Toronto from 1930-1934, and was appointed as King's Counsel in 1947.

In 1934, he was appointed Assistant to the President, the National Life Assurance Company of Canada and he served that company in various positions until 1941, when he joined the Wartime Prices and Trade Board. From 1945 to 1962, he served as Vice-President and Managing Director of Argus Corporation Limited and as director and/or officer of mumerous other companies.

McCutcheon was called to the Senate and appointed Minister without Portfolio in 1962 and he served briefly as Minister of Trade and Commerce in 1963.
