Series consists of documents relating to the personal and professional life of the Abbott, Tuson, Buckley, Ingersoll and Heneker family. Richard William Heneker and Sir John Joseph Caldwell Abbott are amongst the people mentioned in this series. The files contain various types of documents, such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, articles, diaries, Michael Buckley's notes taken from diaries, biographical notes, family trees, certificates, testimonials, drawings, paintings and miscellaneous material.

Noteworthy are: R.W. Heneker's diary (1855); Richard Tuson Heneker's diary of a canoe trip (1878-1879); letters from Major General W.C.G. Heneker, including descriptions of his military exploits (1902, 1930); a miniature keepsake book containing a chapter of the Bible, inscribed and presented to Bessie Tuson (Mrs. R.W. Heneker) in 1847; the World War I diary of Harry Heneker of the 1st Bedfordshire Regiment of the British Army (Dec. 1916-Jan. 1918, both the original copy and an expanded version written c. 1919); and correspondence of John P.B. Buckley describing his life as a student at Bishop's College School, Lennoxville, Quebec (1928-1933), and as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force (from 1940 until his death in action in 1942). The following have been placed in horizontal storage: diplomas of R.T. Heneker (1880, Laval) container 10, and R.W. Heneker (1888, McGill), container 9, and a trench map used by Harry Heneker (1916), container 9.
