Series consists of manuscripts, typescripts, galleys, clippings and correspondence (vols. 1, 4 and 8).

Additional material consists of holographs and typescripts of "Canadian Poet" and "The Heavenly Boy" and a corrected offprint of "The Needham Cemetery" (vol. 14).

Additional series consists of holograph, signed, illustrated copy of "Catbird" with an explication of text by Glassco 1969, a related letter from the League of Canadian Poets and drafts of the poem; manuscript and typescript drafts of the "Jupiter Sonnets" 1970-1979; group of copies of published poems with title page "Last Poems by John Glassco"; holograph, signed poem "On Miss Thompson, Weeping" 1970.
Series also consists of a file of poems bearing title "Poems in progress, mostly rejected", including some typescripts of poems dated in the 1930s by Glassco, drafts of birthday sonnets, of translations including Jacques Brault's "Suite Fraternelle", and of the poems "Annus Mirabilis" 1963-1977, "The Debt" 1965, "The Rabbit" 1963, "A Christmas Garland" 1960, "The Golden Crusade" 1959-1968, "On Two Canadian Cats" 1963 "O'er" 1973, "A Love Affair" 1980, "Tall Girl" 1980-1981, and others; a draft letter to Jay Macpherson is found on the back of a draft of "Sonnet re. Memoirs of Montparnasse" 1974 (vol. 17).

Additional material includes a mock-up of a booklet of sonnets titled "If It Be Love" 1980, four b/w photographs of a drawing by Robert Huber which was used for its' cover and an annotated copy of the September 1966 issue of Yes Magazine containing poems, including "The Places Where the Dead Have Walked", as well as a translation and a diary entry. A loose sheet of paper, found folded in the issue, contains a revised typescript of the poem "The Places Where the Dead Have Walked" dated 1969 (vols. 20, 23).
