Estado legajo 3885 contains correspondence of John Jay, American representative at Paris, with the conde de Aranda, 1782-1784, concerning the boundaries along the Mississippi River from West Florida to Canada, with several long memoranda; and correspondence regarding the shipment of 1596 Acadians from France to Louisiana at the expense of Spain, 1783-1786.

Included on the same reel are selections from legajos 5639, 5636 and 5638 parts 1 and 2, diplomatic correspondence of the War of 1812 period.
