Sub-series consists of ferry service central registry files that were assigned the 3802 file block number. Subjects include ferry services for Prince Edward Island and Ontario, freight rates, terminals, steamship service, and sale of government ships. The Department of Railways and Canals was charged with administering Ferry Services in Canada until the function was transferred to the Department of Transport in 1936. The ferry service function was administered by the Railways branch within Department of Transport.
