Fonds consists of WWII footage shot by John Cunningham while serving in the RCAF, documentaries dealing with harvesting of natural resources in Canada and Canada's economic development in the 1940s and 1950s and the 1951 visit of Princess Elizabeth. Also included are three fiction films starring Canadian born actress Nell Shipman entitled: Back to God's country; The trail of the north wind; and The light on lookout.

Cunningham, John : John Cunningham was a pilot with No. 421 (Red Indian) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) during World War II. He was also an amateur filmmaker who recorded squadron activities during the war.
