Views taken by the wife of the Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada during her residence in Canada, including views in and around Quebec City, and along the route of the St. Lawrence river during a journey to Upper Canada and during her stay in Upper Canada. Works by Mrs. Elizabeth Simcoe (1766-1850). Views are of Quebec City, of villages along the St. Lawrence River from Quebec to Kingston, Montréal, York, and along the shoreline of Lake Ontario from York (now Toronto) to Niagara-on-the-Lake, including the Forks of the Credit, Burlington, Twenty Mile Creek, Chippewa, all the way to Niagara Falls, which is depicted in several watercolours.
