Accession consists of a double portrait (diptych) of Guy Paul Morin who, in 1984, was accused of the first-degree murder of nine year old Christine Jessup. Morin was convicted in 1992. However, in 1995, Morin was exonerated as a result of new and more sophisticated DNA testing that was not available at the time of the crime. One of the portraits depicts Guy Paul Morin in a serious mood. The other depicts him shrugging his shoulders and grinning.
