Recherche dans la collection - Correspondence [textual record, graphic material, object]

The material was not organized when we received it, and the archivist had to sort records based on type of correspondence and name of correspondent. For general correspondence we created separate files for people with whom many letters were exchanged, and for public figures. Other letters were sorted based on the first letter of the surname. Greeting cards containing text were placed with correspondence, while those containing only the sender's signature were placed in the "Greeting Cards" section (unless a file already existed for the person in question). Each record description specifies whether it contains copies of Mr. LeBlanc's letters (not official letters, but personal correspondence). Photographs were kept with the letters and npt placed in separate containers.
