Consists of 7 situation maps and topographic maps pertaining to World War II, collected by Colonel Ralston, Minister of Defence under Mackenzie King. Seven situation maps outlining the fall of Belgium, the German invasion of France and the British evacuation at Dunkirk (May 9-30, 1940) were originally sent to Ralston in June 1941 by the Canadian High Commissioner in London, England. Other maps focus on Ralston's trip to North Africa and Italy in the autumn of 1943, military operations at Dieppe, France in August 1942 and 1st Canadian Army operations in the Caen area of France in August 1944.
