Accession consists of files from the first and second National Research Council central registry systems. From the first system there are files from the 3-3-B block (Associations, Clubs and Socities, specifically, Board of Trustees - Bergey's Manual Trust Sub-Committee); 12 block (Federal Government Departments, including, National Defence and others); 15 block (Physics and Electrical Engineering); 16 block (Purchase Orders issued by the NRC); 17 block (Researches, Tests, Analyses, etc); 18 block (Division of Information, Publications and Liaison); and the 4 block (Committees Operating under Council Funds, specifically the Chemical Warfare Committee, the Special Committee on Radiological Research, the Atomic Energy Project and the Combined Policy Committee). From the second central registry system, there are files from the 6222 file block (Associate Committees - Radio Science - Conferences, Symposia, Congresses, etc).
