This series comprises original pen and ink drawings by the artist Joe Rosenthal. They document the Toronto Caribana Festival Parade of 1975, depicting the dancers in costume and the spectators who enjoy the parade. Costumes include butterfly hats, Snakes and Ladders costumes, playing card costumes, leaf and feather head-dresses and bird and tropical plant props. Spectators include the average Toronto citizens, such as women and children, women with baby carriages, and the peacekeepers: a Toronto policeman on horseback.

The 1975 theme of the festival was: "A Compendium of Games." The popular annual festival, begun in 1967 celebrates the music, dance, food and elaborate costumes of Jamaica, Guyana, the Bahamas, Brazil and other participating cultures. Toronto's Grand Parade is the largest Caribbean Parade in North America.
