Canada. Dept. of the Secretary of State of Canada. Corporate Policy and Public Affairs Sector : The Corporate Policy and Public Affairs Sector was responsible for the key planning and management functions for the Department of the Secretary of State of Canada. It was headed by the Assistant Under Secretary of State who was an Assistant Deputy Minister of the Department. The functions and responsibilities of the Corporate Policy and Public Affairs Sector were transferred to the Department of Canadian Heritage in 1993 and became known as the Planning and Corporate Affairs Sector. It was later renamed Strategic Policy, Planning and Corporate Affairs.
