This material is an accrual to the Peter Winkworth Collection of Canadiana, and it consists of additional material documenting the history and development of Canada in the late 18th and 19th centuries. The accrual includes: 3 oil paintings ("Fish Hatchery, Newcastle, New Brunswick," 1883 by Edward Scope Shrapnel; "Observatoire à la Montagne [Montreal]," late 19th century by Georges Delfosses; "The Waverly gold fields, Nova Scotia," ca. 1879 by Forshaw Day). 5 watercolours ("Deer shooting at a Portage," and "A Canadian Settler House," 1831 by Captain James Edward Alexander; "River St Charles" and "Beauport," 1810 by George Heriot; and "By Gloucester Pool (on the Severn River)," ca. 1793 by Elizabeth Simcoes; and a 2-volume manuscript journal with 7 drawings ("Journal of a tour in Canada, the United States, and Jamaica, 1833-1835," by Alfred Domett).
