Series consists of legacy records that document the Energy and Chemical Workers Union (ECWU), a predecessor of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers (CEP)., Series documents labour relations with employers, meetings of the executive, meetings of the Women and Equal Opportunities Committee, applications to the Canadian Labour Relations Board (CLRB), collective agreements, and other matters. Series includes legacy records of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers (OCAW).

Series also includes 3 charters granted to a local unions in Buckingham, Quebec: Buckingham Plastic Workers' Union Local 1551 (1957, Mikan no. 5176214) and International Chemical Workers Union, Local 734 (1963, Mikan no. 5176215).
