He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1924, and practised law at Brampton, Ont.
Graydon was a Member of the House of Commons, representing Peel County, Ont., 1935-1953. During this period, he was National Chairman, Conservative Party of Canada, 1941-1943, President of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, 1943, and Progressive Conservative House Leader and Leader of the Opposition, 1943-1945.
