After his ordination in 1953, he served as Rector of St. Puis X Seminary in Saskatoon. From 1964-1970, Reverend Ogle served as a missionary in North East Brazil.
Father Bob was a Member of Parliament from 1979 until 1984 when he submitted his resignation as a member representing Saskatoon East. This action was a direct result of his failure to receive special dispensation from the Vatican allowing him to remain in politics. During his political career he served on several committees including, Health and Welfare and Social Affairs; External Affairs and National Defence; and the North/South Relations Task Force.
