Series consists of a collection of annual main and supplementary estimates in bound volumes produced by Public Works. Most of the estimates in this series are concerned with public buildings, but there are some pertaining to harbours, rivers, dredging slides, telegraphs, roads, bridges, maintenance and repairs, and civil government. Some of the estimates are apparent duplicates, but there are differences as to the individual to whom the estimate was addressed, as well as variations of content among the hand-written volumes. The usual arrangement for each year is: No. 1 Supplementary Estimates, No. 2 Civil Government, No. 3 Public Buildings, No. 4 Harbours and Rivers, No. 5 Dredging, Roads, Telegraphs and Miscellaneous, No. 6 Maintenance and Repairs, No. 7 Supplementary Estimates, No. 9 Supplementary Estimates post-1908. Plans and drawings complement the textual records. Also included in this series are internal estimates, dated from 1964-1968, which contain both administrative and operational records.
