National Arts Centre (Canada). Office of the Director of Operations : Mr Bruce Corder was the National Arts Centre's first Director of Operations; he held the position from 1967 to 1973. With the departure of Mr. David Haber in 1972, Mr. Corder also became responsible to a degree for programming while Director of Operations. The Director of Operations was involved with such issues as general administration, Studio seating specifications, the naming of halls within the National Arts Centre in 1967, the protocol and planning for the Queen's visit in 1967, the background to the formation of a resident orchestra at the National Arts Centre, and catering and State functions.
