Each branch line binder lists monthly expenditures by category, such as payroll, supplies acquired from Transcona stores, office rental, professional services fees, compensation to farmers for rights-of-way acquired, etc. and by specific projects, be it a section foreman's residence, bunkhouse, stockyard or charges to other units such as the Sleeping & Dining Car and Boarding Departments.
