Sub-sub-series consists of field notebooks kept by surveyors in the employ of the Geological Survey of Canada while on field trips in various parts of Canada. There are about 2500 notebooks for these years. Unlike the notebooks for the years 1842 to 1900 which contain sketches and anthropological notations, the books for the years 1900 to 1925 are mostly technical in nature.
