Sub-series consists of the most part of the 662 exhibits (C1-C662) that were part of the public record of the community hearings held by the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline Inquiry. In addition to the formal hearings, the Inquiry travelled between April, 1975, and August, 1976, to all 35 communities in the Mackenzie Valley region, the Delta and Beaufort Sea region, and the Northern Yukon to hear evidence from the residents in their own languages in their home communities. In May and June, 1976, hearings were also held in 10 centres in Southern Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax. The submitted exhibits were used by Thomas Berger to prepare his two-volume report entitled "Northern Frontier Northern Homeland" which appeared during 1977. (RG126, Vols. 3-9)
