General note:

This accession consists of four notebooks used by field personnel of the Geodetic Survey of Canada for recording horizontal observations in connection with the establishment of geodetic stations in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Saskatchewan. Sometimes the notebooks have a description of a survey station, but usually there is little more than a surveyor's readings such as observations of Horizontal Directions.

These notebooks were acquired sometime ago by the National Archives of Canada. They were not accessioned until October 1999.
