Watercolours, drawings, prints, poems and ephemera relating to the career of James Cummings Clarke of Stirling, Scotland, an army officer in the 76th Regiment of Foot.. The album includes views taken 1850-1853 while he was stationed in Malta, including trips to Corfu and Albania; views of the town and the regiment's activities in St. Andrew's, N.B., 1853-1855, including hunting, fishing, military activities, firefighting and theatrical performances; views of hunting and fishing trip in Maine and Nova Scotia; and views of agricultural activities, a railway accident, and landscapes in Scotland ca. 1861-1863..
