This accession consists of research reports, various community studies, research projects, staff files and general subject files. These were maintained outside of the central registry in a separate classification system with "NR" prefix. The subject matter covered such diverse topics as aboriginal rights, biological programs, reindeer nutrition, studies of several Arctic communities including Lake Harbour and Rankin Inlet. The work of prominent northern researchers such as Dr. Diamond Jenness, Richard Slobodin, Peter Usher among others is found in this accession. The records were generated under the authority of the Northern Coordination and Research Centre from 1955 until the transfer of responsibilites to the Northern Research Science Group in 1970.
