General note:

The Executive Group Classification System (EXCIS) is the successor to the Management Category Classification System (MCCIS). This small data base file profiles all positions in the management or executive category (Ex) at a given time. The series permits limited quantitative analysis of all senior management positions within the Federal Public Service.

Custodial history:

The extracts from EXCIS were transferred directly from the department to the archivist.

Dates of creation note:

For clarity, the two diskettes represent two annual increments from the data base, each a slice of selected fields of the main file taken at the end of the fiscal year (March 2001, March 2002). This represents two annual increments and complicates the expression of the dates, which are two single dates for two annual increments treated as one accession. There is no range of dates involved.
