This album, comprised of 29 pages on which 91 photographs are mounted, spans twenty years of development in Aklavik, covering waterfront scenes, the Anglican and Roman Catholic missions and the Inuit people who live there. Some of the photographs are recognized as being from other albums and these photos have PA numbers that are not noted in this album. Photos by a variety of people: H. Perry; M. Meikle (1937, 1941); O.S. Finnie (1925, 1929); J.A. Urquhart (1936); L.T. Burwash (1929); J.F. Moran (1922, 1926, 1930); and A.E. Porsild (1928). There are also four aerial photographs from the R.C.A.F. and a series of photographs submitted by Bishop Fleming from 1942, which are noted as having no negatives.

Custodial history:

This album was originally part of accession 1974-366, which had been integrated into 1973-357. It has since been separated back into the two individual accessions of 1973-357 and 1974-366.
