The material is unorganized but has been filed loosely as follows: vol. 1: literary manuscripts relating to They Shall Inherit the Earth, More Joy in Heaven, The Loved and the Lost, The Many-Coloured Coat and A Passion in Rome. vol. 2: literary manuscripts relating to A Passion in Rome and A Fine and Private Place. vol. 3: literary manuscripts relating to A Fine and Private Place, Close to the Sun Again, No Man's Meat and the Enchanted Pimp and A Wild Old Man on the Road. vol. 4: literary manuscripts relating to A Wild Old Man on the Road. vols. 5-6: literary manuscripts relating to "Thumbs Down on Julien Jones". vol. 7: literary manuscripts relating to "Thumbs Down on Julien Jones" and the plays They Shall Inherit the Earth, To Tell the Truth and And Then Mr. Jones, as well as short stories (fragmentary, untitled and unidentified). vol. 8: literary manuscripts relating to short stories and non-fiction. vol. 9: literary manuscripts relating to non-fiction and miscellaneous, unidentified works. vols. 10-18: copies of Morley Callaghan's writings in periodicals; reviews and articles about him (note that vol. 15 also contains miscellaneous manuscripts including material on A Passion in Rome, That Summer in Paris, short stories and non-fiction.
