The Battle of Queenston Heights actually took place October 13, 1812.
Image depicts the battle scene on the river, with a town on the right and boats full of soldiers on the water., This print is done after the original prints published in 1836 by J. W. Laird & Co. in London. There is a second copy in the Coverdale Collection (Acc. No. 1970-188-2067), (See also negs C-014614 & TC-000237 (?), from different prints)

Copy negative number: C-000276. This is the B&W negative.

Note on the state of conservation:

Print is discoloured, with freyed edges and a few tears. There are waterstains on the bottom edge, and marks from framing.
