Condition: l.l. corner missing And this area is stained, Subject shows two slegdes, pulled by horses, with one figure on each (two total) in outdoor winter scene, sledges are being pulled in opposite directions, one sledge is pulling a load of hay. Watercolour is on card with embossed borders, Miss Amelia Frederica Dyneley was the daughter of Colonel Thomas Dyneley C.B. and Mrs Mary Frederica Dyneley. She accompanied her father to Canada between 1848 and 1852. They stayed in Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec. A.M. Dyneley borrowed numerous topographical views of Canada from other artists which she copied and signed (Particulary James Duncan from whom she received formal lessons), Other examples of Amelia Frederica's work can be found in the Coverdale Collection of Canadiana
