Treaty 3, also known as the North-West Angle Treaty, was signed October 3, 1873 with the Saulteaux band of the Ojibwa peoples.

This specific medal was issued to Chief Muskeekee Eyineer, of Manitoba Band No. 2, and was damaged in a house fire. A replacement medal was issued May 31, 1912.
