Collection search - Operational records of Atlantic Regional Office [textual record]

This accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Historic Properties Division, Atlantic Regional Office, of what is now Parks Canada Agency. Records document various construction and development projects at the following properties: A. G. Bell National Historic Site; Cape Breton Highlands National Park; Cape Spear National Historic Site; Castle Hill National Historic Site; Fort Anne National Historic Site; Fort Beausejour; Fort Edward National Historic Site; Fortress of Louisbourg; Fundy National Park; Gros Morne National Park; Halifax Citadel; Kejimkujik National Park; Kouchibouguac; L'Anse aux Meadows; P.E.I. National Park; St. Peter's National Historic Site; and Terra Nova National Park. The accession includes copies of published cartographic material, grey literature, blue prints and technical drawings.

These records were created under the auspices of the following predecessors of Parks Canada Agency: the National and Historic Parks Branch (1966 - 1973) and then the Parks Canada Program (1973 - 1979) of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (later renamed the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs); and then the Parks Canada Program once transferred to the Department of the Environment (1979 - 1993).
