Canadian Dental Association : The Canadian Dental Association (CDA) is a non-profit professional association representing Canada's dentists.

Prior to Confederation, professionals in dentistry were practicing in Upper and Lower Canada, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. In response to the need for regulation, Provinces and Territories formed self-governing dental associations. However, there was a need and growing support for a national organization to oversee the professional development of dentistry in Canada. The CDA was formed after a national dental meeting took place on September 16-18, 1902 in Montreal, Quebec.

Since it's inception, the CDA is the national voice for dentistry dedicated to the promotion of optimal oral health, an essential component of general health, and to the advancement and leadership of a unified profession.

Majority of the records were previously itemized, described and/or maintained in the Canadian Dental Association's archives - a feat largely undertaken by Dr. Donald Werden Gullett (CDA Secretary, 1943-1965). For a full index of contents, refer to Volume 55 and 56 (which contain the original index cards with additional information on items).
