These are the operational records of the programs implemented under the Prairie Farm Assistance Act of 1939. This program of assistance to farmers in the western wheat area in the event of a district crop failure was phased out 1973-1974; the Act repealed in 1979. Included are the following: Application for Assistance under Section 3 of the PFA Act and Amendments, 1972 (Vols. 1 and 2); Registration of Cultivated Acreage Reports (Vols. 3-6) by township and province. Also included are Board of Review Minute Books 1968-1970; Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Albert and B.C. Board of Review Lists 1971-1973; and board minutes, memoranda and some correspondence 1939-1941 (Vols. 7 and 8).
