Recherche dans la collection - Laboratory analysis reports and product complaints of the Health Protection Branch, Pacific Regional Office [textual record]

These are laboratory analysis reports from the Health Protection Branch's Pacific Regional Office (Vancouver) documenting analysis of questioned foodstuffs for decomposition or adulterants, dated October 1981 to June 1982. Each report consists of one "Record of Specimen Taken" (form HPB 1403) recording the identity and source of the sample and the nature of the problem to be analyzed, and one "Report of Laboratory Analysis" (form HPB 1404) reporting in tabular form (with some narrative comment) the results of the test. The forms are filed by quarter, within each quarter by project acronym, and in some cases are further broken down into "Satisfactory", "Unsatisfactory" and "Investigate" result categories. There are also a few "Consumer Product Complaint" files in each quarter containing completed Product Complaint forms (HPB 6004), with associated correspondence in some cases, similar to these in accession V85-86/437. The latter are filed by city and quarter.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
