This accession contains further records from the Health Protection Branch (Pacific Regional Office), from the same series as accessions V84-85/235, V84-85/326, and V85-86/438 (q.v.). They are organized in the same way and their contents are similar.

The registry files (1922-1973) consist of subject files on Branch conferences, committees and workshops; addresses of food and drug companies; general files on drugs (policy, rulings, introduction of new drugs, emergency drug release, control, recall, labelling, identification of unknown specimens, etc.), and on foods (honey, maple syrup, meat from dead animals, milk, nuts, soft drinks), and three files on regional office participation in particular food monitoring projects in the 1970s (oils in foods, filth in foods, intentional additives (Boxes 1-4).

The case files (1945-1973) consist of three boxes (boxes 5-7) from the series of files on food companies and merchants, and one (box 8) on drug companies and merchants.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
