Collection search - Property law case files and aboriginal civil litigation case file records of the B.C. Region [textual record, cartographic material]

Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The accession includes aboriginal civil litigation case files, and property case files (which can include records relating to the acquisition or disposal of property, the issuance of letters patent to individuals or organizations regarding their ownership of real property, or notices of foreclosure or lien on property).

The accession also includes, but is not limited to cartographic records relating to radar installation at Vancouver International Airport, Brightwater Floating Home Village, Gitwangak Indian Reserve #1 and 2, Tsitsk Indian Reserve #3, Moricetown Indian Reserve #1, Coryatsaqua Indian Reserve #2, Babine Indian Reserve #17, Bulkley River Indian Reserve #19, Hagwilget Indian Reserves, and general plans of the Cassiar and West Central British Columbia.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
