Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the B.C. Region of the Department of Justice.

The accession includes property case files (which can include records relating to the acquisition or disposal of property, the issuance of letters patent to individuals or organization regarding their ownership of real property, or notices of foreclosure or lien on property). Accession includes records relating to first nations reserves, transport, logging and forestry, leases, the Real Property Act, site contamination, first nations estates, airports, and waste management. The accession also includes records of precedent setting cases, including those relating to residency by-law, native fisheries, expropriation, and first nations land development. Accession also includes contracts and agreements.

These records were originally held in British Columbia. They were transferred to the National Capital Region in 2016 and are available for consultation there.
