This accession comprises a Citation for Services Certificate presented to the National Archives of Canada in 1982 by the Professional Photographers of Canada Inc. (PPOC). The PPOC expresses appreciation for "the time and effort so generously contributed to the progress of the Association, its aims and its programs". The citation recognizes specifically the activities of the Public Archives of Canada in staging, arranging exhibition venues, circulating, and preserving on permanent loan, the PPOC's National Print Show. This activity, which formed part of a legal agreement between the PPOC and the National Archives of Canada concerning PPOC records, took place between approximately 1973 and 1984. The National Archives decided in 1984 to discontinue its involvement in arranging exhibition venues and circulating the Print Show.
