Accession consists of records from three separate areas of the Department of Communications (DOC).

Boxes 1-6 come from the International Telecommunications Branch and cover relations with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) between approximately between 1960-1969, though mostly concerning the 1966-67 fiscal year.

Boxes 7-8 come from the administrative blocks of the registry and cover committees, including the Air frequency Committee (1960-1961) and the Technical Advisory Committee on the Availability of Channels for Broadcasting Stations (1966-1967).

Box 9 comes from the Economic Policy Planning Division of the Planning Sector dating 1972-1973.

This accession is currently being processed and some records are under archival review.

Some records predating 1969 were created by predecessors units from the Department of Transport and have been brought forward into DOC's registry.
