These records were created by the Canadian Employment and Immigration Commission's Canadian Jobs Strategy and Employment Services Programs. Case files from the Employment Development Branch contain final reports, financial statements and project officers narrative reports related to projects of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), 1978-1980. This program offered student summer employment in various fields such as tourism, social services, research and analysis, and recreation. Case files from the Canada Manpower Training Program (which administered national training programs) document overpayments to individual trainees while other project files pertain to the Manpower Mobility Assessment Agreement and the Manpower Assessment Incentive Agreement, dating from 1976 to 1979 and contain contracts in addition to various correspondence.
